Engineers Without Borders (EWB) SEQ Chapter are proud to present a talk from Burmese refugee and environmentalist David Saw Wah. A mechanical engineer, David lived with fellow refugees in a camp along the Thailand-Burma border. During his time there he taught thousands of people about food security, environmental protection, water conservation and alternative energy sources. David's vision was to help improve the quality of life for refugees and the sustainability of their communities which he achieved through appropriate technology, community development and sustainable agriculture.
We are thrilled to invite you to come hear him share his wisdom and experience with us in the magical setting of Northey Street City Farm. Check out this article for more about David's background.
A light dinner will be provided - booking are essential.
